Folders turned into files

CPU/Ram: AMD XP 3200+ 1GB ram

For some reason, some of my folders have turned into file names with no extention, and no longer are seen as folders. The one that concerns me the most is one that is where all my outlook email was stored, it is now a just a file name, and outlook cant see it as a store folder

Can you provide a little more detail? Where was your pst file stored? What has the folder been renamed as?

It was just stored on my second HD (d:) the folder was just named Email, and now the it is a file named Email, with no extension, and a genaric file icon
