babydoll, what are you trying to do? Understand that formatting cleans things off, so if you already have something you wish to keep, it's not a good idea to format. A format erases the slate and prepares it for new data. HTH. Ed in Texas.

If you are going to format your hard drive and reinstall Windows, I presume you must be having serious problems.
Have a look at my homepage post which might sort out the problems without formatting, but if you still need to format, instructions are in there on how to do that too.
