How can a firewall be 'gay'??
Surely, a firewall's job is to CLOSE 'back-doors', and prevent them from being probed!
Firewall's are NOT gay!

In current American vernacular the word "gay" is used to describe homosexual tendencies especially amongs the male population. It is therefore not a stretch to use the word "gay" to accurately describe other disfunctional objects, institutions, or even firewalls. Criticism of the original poster's ability to very accurately and efficiently describe his frustration with the firewall by using the word "gay" is merely a knee-jerk defense mechanism caused by a subconscious acknowledgement that homosexuality is, in fact, wrong...even if you were "born that way".
