Hi, I want to know what is the optimal size for MinFileCache and MaxFileCache???
I have in some times 256 MB RAM PC-133 in others 384 RAM PC-133 depends if my computer freeze or not freezee thanks.

I per my info you make it about 2.5 times your ram.

e.g. 256x2.5=640, x1024=655000 approx.

No no no! cache is not your swapfile!!!!!

Download the freeware program cacheman. It will set up the cache for you and has some optimal settings you can choose or you can modify it all you want.

If you sometimes have 256 and other times have 384Mb of memory then I think you might have 128Mb of bad RAM. Trey re-seating the memory in the slots.

Try and find out if you are running memory of two different speeds or types.

Nobody should need CacheMan under Windows ME, especially when you have that much RAM installed. All Cacheman does is alter some values in some INI files that you can edit with notepad or alter from System Configuration.
