hi all i have a file i down loaded and want to get rid of it but everytime i try to delete it ,,,,it comes up saying access denied source file may be in use and it will not allow me to delete it how can i get rid of it cheers mike

Try a system restore

Try renaming it,changing it's attributes,and/or booting into safe mode and try deleting it from there.

hello you can allso right click on the file and compress it and delelete it and allso reboot with bootdisk in drive and delete it from dos

ok if the file you are trying to delete is saying that it is being used, try using ctrl+alt+delete then go to the processes tab, find the file, and end the process. then go back and delete it
