Comment:

You know when you right click a file and view its properties, I understand the "read-only" part or the "hidden" part but what actually is the "archive" part? What is the difference if this box is checked or not? What does this "archive" do or mean?
If anyone can give me lesson on this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

A file that is marked for an archival backup only backups data that has been changed since the last backup, not the entire file.
