My memory sticks have been working fine until recently when I start receiving file permission errors or the directory or file cannot be created. I've moved the memory stick between the USB ports and added a powered USB hub and tried all the ports -still always the same error messages. Saving Word files.

hello in my computer is memory stick seen? you might try if seen right clicking it and see if it shows formating it as an option. if so you might try that but you will need to back up any data on it to a folder in windows befor doing so. might allso wait and see if some one has a better solution.

Thanx for the comments. Can download files from device just can't save them back to the memory stick. My Computer recognizes device and provides directory of files. Can't save any files new or revised - just keep getting error messages.

I have been having the same problem. I think for some reason there is a limit to the number of files (nb: number of files not amount of space used) that the root directory can handle. Try making folders and moving files into these to cut down on the number of root directory entries. That seems to have worked for me.
