I have my hard disk formatted into two drives. Is it possible to use fdisk to delete and then repartition the primary drive without deleting or harming the extended drive?

Not with Fdisk. Try Partition magic.

Hi,
I use Partition Magic 7.0 - it's a really good program and I also believe that can help you - FDisk won't.
