Get this error when trying to burn a cd, and this locks up the pc. Figured it was a problem with the registry, so ran a scanreg /fix after booting with a bootable floppy - this didn't fix the problem. I also get the error during bootup, but it goes away. this problem started a couple of weeks ago, with an error in NAV, I got that fixed, but can't seem to get the other errors fixed. Can anyone help. This is not my pc, I do volunteer work for a ministry, and it is the ministy's pc.

This error is often caused by burning software, noteably "Easy CD creator" and "WinOnCD". It is probably also loading on start-up (see a little icon for it in the lower left of the screen?) and therfore crashing then as well. I would remove (using the add/remove programs option in the control panel) whatever you are using for burning software and try somthing else. Sometimes removing and reinstalling the CDRW drive itself will also work. Jimi_l
