Failure to repair Word 2000SR-1

I cannot uninstall, repair, or reinstall WORD any more. Each time I try, a WINDOWs INSTALLER flag comes on, saying: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Help!
Is the uninstall file, setup files and so on located on a drive you no longer have attached? - That's what the message means when it says a network resource that is no longer available. Did you get Word pre-installed? If so there should be a rescue disk of some sort? Just a thought...
