Extract EDB.CAB files?

I noticed in my ME bootdisk, there's a Winzip file "EBD.CAB", containing files like Format.com, Debug.exe...etc... When I try to extract the files, I get the not enough space on floppy disk message. Should I even bother trying to extract these files for when I'll try to format my hard drive, or will it do it itself?
