When initially firing up IE5.5 on my homepage (Google) I get the following message:
An error has ocurred in the script on this page.
Line 17
Char 1
Error: Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus.
Code 0
URL http://www.google.co.uk/Do you want continue running scripts on this page?
Whether I answer yes or no seems to make no difference, and the error message never seems to occur on any other page. Is it a fault with my browser or something else I can fix? Also is it anything to worry about?

Confused & perplexed!

Try unchecking Taskmon in msconfig, reboot and recheck it (if you "use" Taskmon) and reboot. I saw this work for a script error similar to yours once. Don't know why or anything.

Have you tried going to Internet Options/Advanced tab and putting a check next to "Disable Script Debugging",and unchecking "Display a notification about every script error"?
