Try repairing IE first.

Click Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> double-click Add/Remove Programs >> On the Install/Uninstall tab >> Highlight Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Tools >> click Add/Remove >> choose middle option - Repair.

To stop error reporting in windows me:

Browse to the following location in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\
Internet Explorer\Main

Click on Main.

Now go to a blank spot in the right pane and right click.

Select New and DWORD Value.

Name this IEWatsonEnabled.

Double click on your new entry and in value type 0.

Close the registry editor and restart the computer.
