I apologise for the vagueness of this post but my girlfriend has telepohoned me to say that she is experiencing an Explorer error which is causing very bad reactions on her computer - e.g. no net connection, no access to some prgorammes. It may have occurred after recently installing a logitech web cam. Does anyone know of any bad errors or viruses that may have cause this and how to combat it please?

I've been told that the error message is:
Explorer has caused an error in <unknown>
and it might just be the internet which she isn't able to access.
Neither of us are sure about how to get more info on the error message if that's needed, sorry

Is she running an Anti-Virus program w/updated definitions? If so,which one?
Is she running a firewall? What type of connection to the NET?
Does she have any spyware detection/removal programs such as SpyBot,Adaware? SpywareBlaster, maybe?
What version of Internet Explorer? Has she tried a repair of Internet Explorer?
Has she tried uninstalling/reinstalling the logitech webcam and/or it's software?
