I am receiving an error message. This just started happening, and I have not installed any software, or gotten any virus warnings.

Any time I try to open My Computer, Windows Epxlorer, or any of the shortcuts I created that are actually a folder of program shortcuts, I get the following error message:
Explorer has caused an error in SFG32DA.DLL
Explorer will now close.

I've rebooted several times now, hoping that it is just a glitch that cleared up on restart, but that is not the case. I can't explore my hard drives at all. I'm at a loss on what it could be and what caused it to happen.
Any one with help, it's greatly appreciated.

Something's obviously crawled on board. Do a search for SFG32DA.DLL and find out where it's living.

Then downlaod and run fully updated versions of Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware 6. See if that shifts it or if they find anything.

MichaelinSJ, Do you have a product OR software called ".NET Framework" (version- .NET Framework 1.0 SP1)?? I have done a search and "Microsoft" indicates that is where the DLL (SFG32DA.DLL) is coming from. If you do, I would close/disable that software and then restart your computer. If you should happen to longer have the "Explorer" error problem after reboot, at least you will have isolated the problem anyways - and then you can take it from there. In addition, if you should happen to have the .NET Framework" installed on your computer, I feel it's EXTREMELY important that you view the following address to read and understand ALL of it content -http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/downloads/updates/sp1/

I wanted to correct my "sentence" error in "Response #2" as it should have read: "If you should happen to NO longer have the "Explorer" error problem after reboot, at least you will have isolated the problem anyways - and then you can take it from there". This messasge is by "buddymcw". Sorry about that.
