IE 5.50 with SP1
WinME

Starting today..my PC came upon Kernel32.dll Errors while exiting out of Internet Explorer. So I reboot and same again it came up everytime when I exiting out of IE.

It didn't happen like this before, and its already been installed with the SP1. Any Suggestions? I'm Worried..because I'm just finishing up restored this PC after a crash.

Okay..I think I fixed the problem. While updating my Windows @ MS I also includes the COMPAQ patch or whatever for IE. So I remove that COMPAQ for IE and now It works.

COMPAQ users dont download that Compaq updating for IE.

Dont download anything from Compaq!! From experience and going through many problems with doing so, errors upon errors, wiped out ME backup/restore, hangs, oe errors, and so on. I believe that the Compaq fixes are only for Compaq systems that came with Windows ME pre-installed.

search for a program called ad-aware. use it to find spyware on your machine and delete it. I had to go to dos and delete a file called comet.dll (Comet Cursor) to clear this problem. Other spyware programs can also cause this errror. You may have to reinstall programs such as kazaa, since spyware is emedded in them and won't work without them.
