when trying to use my hp cd-writer 8220e by way of software "My cd" computer crashes with error message, An exception has occurred at 0028:C0031522 in VXD--- This was called from 0028:C1996750 in VXD--- Can anyone help me solve this problem? My cd rw will only burn part of a music cd and stop and rebuffer.....

If it is stopping to rebuffer, that means your computer cannot keep up with the selected writing speed. lower the write speed. With audio, you should burn at low speed anyway because that will result in a better quality cd that will be readable on more cd players.

How do I lower the write speed? I have tried to open every application listed under cd-rw and can't find the settings to adjust the write speed :(
