i'm a college student and i'm trying to help my friend set up her ethernet adaptor and get online. we're pretty sure that the card is in right - more than sure, in fact - and the drivers supposedly installed but we're just not getting any sort of a connection. anyone have an idea what we're doing wrong? It's an Amer.com fast ethernet adaptor c110w

bring up internet explorer and go to tools> internet options then select the connections tab, then click on LAN settings this should set up your internet using your ethernet card, at least thats how i set mine up.
