If anyone out there can help me with this problem I'd be very grateful, because I'm going nuts trying to fix it.
When I try and run Javacool's SpywareBlaster 3.3 I get the following error message: "This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus. Please reinstall it."
My other anti-virus programs are coming up clean but I know this is a coolwebsearch virus. Some old posts I found on this site suggested deleting a key from the following registry address for XP users: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs
but I'm using Windows ME and this address doesn't exist (I only get 2 subfolders for drivers under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\)
Any suggestions?

matt_353, if you've been afflicted by CW Search, it has the reputation for being hard to get rid of. There are several removers around and apparently, some are better than others as CW is constantly trying to thwart cleaning by releasing new versions. Best thing I can recommend is to give the latest version a whirl and see. The addy for V2.0 (newest I'm aware of) is: http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html
