Errors relating to Kernel32.dll

On opening my DVD program, video editing software or even audio output, errors tell me that various files cause an error in Kernel32.dll eg Inxinput has caused an error in Kernel32.dll. I've tried a system restore but an error 'Rstroi has caused an error in Kernel32.dll' appears. On checking Dr Watson, I'm told that mmsystem.ini is not listed in the boot section of system.ini and multimedia services may be erratic. Any ideas or solutions would be very much appreciated.

hello trying to run dvd programs with only 128megs of ram is the most likely culprit i see in this. i would add anther 256meg stick of ram. 512 with video editing would give you the best results.
