Comment:
I just installed Partition Magic 8, and when opening it up, i get and error saying: "Init failed: Error 117. Partition's drive letter cannot be identified." Anyone know how to fix this problem? Help!
Un-install Partition Magic completely. Restart the system. Then, create a new folder called "Partition" under "Program files" folder. Then, install a fresh copy of Partition Magic into that folder.
hello allso when trying to start it try ctrl, alt, delete and close every thing else off befor starting program. allso you can try makeing the pm bootdisks and run pm from there.
Actually, i did make the rescue diskettes which i still have from a while ago. The thing is i'm trying to dual boot with 2k and i need to make the 2nd partition active.
There is nothing wrong with Partition Magic. Error 117 is an indication that there is something wrong with the partition on your drive. Partition Magic is a very safe program to use and that is one of the reasons why. You have a damaged partition and Partition Magic isn't going to modify the partition because that would cause more problems.
