With my ME computer, I regularly get a lot of error messages displayed on screen, the most commons ones are "loadq", "spool32", "msmgs" (or something like that), I have read that spool is a printing error yet a lot of the time when the spool error occurs, i am not using my printer, don't even have it turned on. I completly reset the PC using the recovery CD rom I got with the PC, it stopped the messages for a while but now they are back. I have used Anti virus software and do not have a virus. The error messages are a nuisance because when they appear, gradually the whole PC freezes leading me to re-start it. Any ideas? Thanks.

I agree with the suggestion of posting back the exact messages.
You can hit the Alt + D keys together to display the details of the pop up messages when it reappears.
I have had an experience with that file you are talking about and a nother one named "Qmngr". I believe the correct name is "loadqm" for the one that is causing you troubles.
It is a file that makes use of MSN Messneger and Outlook Express together.
Loadqm apparently is a file that handles a cache of information when you load your sessions in MSN Messenger (its excutable name : msmsgs.exe).
The problem with the spool32 is also unknown to me but see, when you upgrade your MSN it integrates automatically with Outlook and both programs (Outlook Express and MSN Messnger) make use of the index.dat.
Index.dat (dat= for database file) contains information about your contact lists and other things, such as starting automatically and announcing to the world you are online whenever you want to check your emails using your Outlook client.
You don't need to be online with MSN to be seen by others.
Using Outlook Express, once integrated with MSN, allows you also to see who is online while u are checking ur emails.
I fyou are curious enough you may go to : C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ and search for SYSTEM32.exe. Right clikc on it select "open containing folder" and carefully watch everything that gets stored in SPOOL32.
It contains specific DLL's that bind the mentioned programs together. As for a printer... everytime you launch or post a text to be printed it gets stored in a cache file first.
The jobs get written first to a file first (the SPOOL folder) before it goes directly to the printer port. If you were in a networked environment, a LAN for example, people can enjoy printing to a single printer without fearing clogging its buffers thanks to the spool folder or cache file right?
I believe something similar happens when you a are exchanging unencrypted text messages with your MSN. And maybe that could explain why loadqm exists.
Why does it conflicts in Spool32? hmmmmm interesting
