Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me, Let me just say the problems all started when my daughter installed Kazza. it put no end of junk on my computer. I uninstalled it and was still having problems so I then did a quick restore in ME. and I think I took it back to far, so I then changed it back to present day. Then it lost my Nortons software!!! I went and tried to unistall nortons, well anyone that as nortons know what kind of a problem this can cause. At Last I managed to uninstall Norton without any error messages coming up ;o) Then I tried to reinstall nortons. It wouldn't let me. so at the moment I have no antivirus software on my computer and an error message saying something like. " Shortcut NRunonce.ink" is missing. can anyone lead me in the right direction to repair this problem? Thanks in advance for any help. Regards Tony.

Go to Start, Run, type Regedit Then choose "find" with the keyword being "norton" without quotation marks. After every entry it finds, keep choosing find next after and delete all the ones it finds. Reboot and try reinstalling Norton again.

Hi Frey, Did that last night. still refuses to let me reinstall. coming up with ( the system administrator has set profiles to prevent this install). I don't know who the administrator is supposed to be Its not on any network & as far as I know there is no profiles setup?
