OS: Windows ME

Model/Manufacturer: Dell
Comment:
Getting the error... Error Loading Explorer.exe You must reinstall windows. system won't boot. Same error when trying safe mode. I changed System.ini, shell=explorer.exe to shell=progman, but then get Error loading Progman.exe You must reinstall windows. Did full scandisk, no errors. Tried the three solutions at Microsoft.com, no luck. Any other suggestions? Besides going to XP... Thank you in advance!

I should add that it all started after installing 4 critical updates from Microsoft, one was for Framework 1.1. Hasn't rebooted since.
