Hi, I'm running Win Me and was faced with the an error message yeterday that windows could not find newdot~1.dll. Stupidly, I deleted a newdot.dll before learning more about the situation. Needless to say deleting the file didn't do much good, it only made things worse. I later found a site which explained how to properly remove the dll from the registry, and did it the right way. Now, I am faced with a computer which will not connect to my nework, or open any websites. I have tried finding the file with Norton unerase and an another file recovery program, but have had no luck. Is there any way to get into the registry an even things out? I don't know where this file was located. I am getting a file compare warning from Norton registry tracker ( line too long;maybe binary file). Please help!!!! Thanks, Travis please email: twdunn@hotmail.com
