Error in loading Explorer.exe, you will have to re-install windows

After installing norton utilities 2000 in win95, (a clean install) it gives me the following error: Error in loading Explorer.exe, you will have to re-install windows and then is says a requiered .dll was not found: c:\windows\system\comctl32.dll was not found

Try uninstalling Norton first. It can adversely affect many programs. Once it is uninstalled, delete the contents of C:\temp. You might scandisk and defrag while you are at it. Reboot and see if explorer will come up. If not reinstall Win95. I would recommend moving to Win98, you will have better luck with Norton.
