I have this error on my win. M.E.
ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering ACPI\*PNP0C0F\00000002 22
anyone have any idea how to fix this. ??
Thanks Jamie

There is no need to fix it. Error 22 just means that windows was looking for a device at this address and it was removed. It won't effect your computer operation. It could have possibly been a duplicate driver or something that you had installed but took out. Nothing to worry about. :)

Not sure but I think Error 22 has to do with Power Management. I had the same and noticed it after I had disabled PM in the CMOS settings and Device Manager. There is an MS Knowledge Base article about it but I can't remember the reference number.

I also have this error code. I don't believe that I have done anything to cause it (although you never know). I have a new Dell laptop and I thought that error code may be involved in the strange operation of my touchpad (it stops for a few seconds every once and a while). The only thing that I can think of is that I tried to add a mouse without knowing how and may have caused the error that way...I dunno.

I found this error code listed under problem devices on my laptop. Since I have a closed-off ethernet port (I just ordered a regular dialup modem when I configured the laptop), I think response number 1 by Dave is the correct one. My computer works fine, and I only found the message by exploring system information.

I just got a dell laptop with ME and I have the same thing. There are 3 error 22's. The comp works great though.

I am getting two hardware error messages that McAfee Clinic cannot fix:
1) The ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering device has a problem.
2) An unknown 32-bit memory error has been detected at location p.
Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.
The system is a P-III MMX Dell Dimension XPS B600r running at 600 Mhz w/ 256K RAM (I added 128 a year ago) running on Win98SE, and I also added a r/w CD-ROM drive. I have no viruses and and the hard disk has been routinely defraged.
Regards,
