igfxtray.exe is quick access to the control panel via a System Tray icon for graphics based upon the Intel chipsests (ie, i810). These chipsets are often included on motherboards. You can disable the startup of this exe.

Just go into your startup folder and delete teh igfxtray.exe shortcut.

FYI
The error message does not mean that the DLL is missing.
What is missing is an "export" (a procedure) from the DLL. (The programs HKCMD.exe and IGFXTRAY.exe are attempting to use this procedure and it is not available)

This error generally happens when an old dll gets installed.

Do a Find Files and see if you find multiple copies of that particular DLL. Rename any that are older versions.

If you only find one, then you need to find a more uptodate version. (or stop running those 2 programs, if they are the only ones complaining)

I haven't installed any new software, but I get the second message everytime i start up:

HKCMD.EXE is linked to missing export HCCUTILS.DLL:is DisplayValid.

I can't rename any of the versions because it says windows is using them, same thing happens when i try to replace them. My 3D/ video card stopped working at the same time. Do you have any other suggestions?
