entering system bios configuration

Comment:

can someone tell me what key i use to enter the system bios settup screen to change configurations. I know on my other computer I enter the f1 key while I am booting.

Depends on the BIOS manufacturer - on the following web page there's a list of the more common ones:

http://www.computers-tech.com/html/bios_hotkeys.html

On the initial bootup screens you should see a message telling you the key to press to enter setup, but if you still can't locate it even with the list, post back with the name of the BIOS - like AMI (American Megatrends International or AWARD, or Phoenix or whatever and we'll try to help some more...
