e-mail notifier?

Anybody out there know where to get a free and easy to use e-mail notifier? Preferable,by means of a blinking"light" or banner.No problem,if not.

I know that ICQ there was an e-mail notification program as part as the bundle, but I haven't used it since 99a. Check

I saw a program at downloads.com for an e-mail notification.Dont remember the name and cant access site from here.If you are using outlook express, you can configure it to check for mail while you are on line.It leaves an icon in the tray to notify you have new mail, even if outlook isnt open.

I'm using Incredimail and I like it a lot better than Outlook Express. They have all kinds of notifiers available, from simple ones that sit in the system tray to cartoon characters that walk out onto your screen when you have mail. It's all free too.

i believe incredimail only supports pop3, not imap and hotmail accounts, but i may be wrong here.
