Email and attachment FREEZE

I am experiencing a problem when sending email with an attachment (a 14.4mb mpeg). I have a broadband connection and have been told that this is within permitted file sizes.

After clicking SEND the hard drive starts accessing but then the computer freezes and the Send action has a not responding status. This problem seems very similar to that I have experienced when emptying the Recycle Bin.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

you might try closeing down uneeded programs while doing this.
