Each time I start Outlook Express, an icon for MSN instant messenger appears in my tray. I never use the messenger and would like to eliminate the unnecessary icon. Anyone know how to do that? TIA.

You must have installed MSN messanger at some point. If you're not using it anymore just uninstal. If you want to keep it just disable it so it doesn't load on start up. To do that you have to sign in, go to options and then uncheck the appropriate box. Hope it helps:)

it might not be in the add/remove programs list...if it isnt, in the add/remove programs window, goto windows setup.
then go into comunications and uncheck messenger because it gets installed during windows setup.
also you can stop it from coming up at startup by clicking Start>Run and typing msconfig in the box and press enter

on the tabs on the top goto startup and look for it in the list, and uncheck the box next to it.
