I installed KazAa last week and suddening was having a number of problems....I solved most of them when I uninstalled it. However I am constantly receiving the following error message: "Dw has caused an error in DW.exe. Dw will now close". In the add/remove program, I cannot find anything even resembling that......so I can uninstall it. What do you suppose is going on? I just defragged and did a Norton virus scan......nothing.

You're welcome.

And thanks for saying thanks.

If that doesn't work, others may be able to help. BTW, I found the URLs from typing dw.exe in Google!

Download FOUR pieces (peaces) and then put it back together????
Why not just a link to the real thing??

BTW I hope this is the Spyware Free Version (as you indicate), not the Spyware LOADED Freeware version of imesh??

The solution ...

I had this problem, and i solved it ! Sorry for my bad english (i'm french) but you may solve this if you follow thoses instructions :

1 . Try to find where is the DW.exe programm on your computer (in mine, it was in C:\program files\downloadware\

2 . Boot your computer in MSDOS mode (i used a WIN98 boot disk but normally you can reboot in this mode with Windows)

3 . TYPE "CD [DIRNAME]"

4. type "DEL *.*"

5 - there are subdirectories, use 3 and 4 to delete their contents

6 - finish with an "RD [DIRNAME]"

7 - boot normally. It works and KAZAA still works.

Bye
