My family just had a DVD made while on vaction buy studio39. A cheesy tourist video setup. Well it plays fine in our regular DVD player hooked up to our TV. However it does not play at all on our computer. Every other DVD I have works fine on the computer. Commercial and Private. What the hack might be the problem. I tried opening it with a bunch of different players. QT, MP, RP, CMP, etc... Any suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!

Since you say commercial DVD's play just fine on your computer, I'm more apt to believe this is a media compatability issue and not a Codec one, unless it's not a DVD but a VCD or SVCD. DVD drives in computers are much more fussy about what brand of discs they can play. If you have a friend with a DVD burner, try buying a different brand of black disc and see if they can copy it ot that.
