Just installed the Panasonic LF-D211V 4.7/9.4GB ReWriteable DVD RAM and I am trying to burn a movie. I did not receive any software with this package but own the following : easy cd creator 5.0 Plantinum Nero 5.0
Neither of these software programs are recognizing the drive to burn from. Any helpful advise out there on what software I should use ?

Cant believe you didnt get software with the burner. This is what ive found. If its not what your looking for maybe check the manufacturers website for compatible software. http://www.prassieurope.com/

If you have a licenced copy of Nero you can go to there site and download an update for free.
Nero 5.5.5.1 onwards now supports DVD writing.

I had the same thing happen to me. Nero 5.0 had a problem finding my drive. I finally narrowed it down to the fact that I had my burner on an ATA100 Riser card instead of the motherboards IDE slots. Try moving your burner drive to the motherboards slots primary or secondary, it doesn't matter. Then run Nero. If it finds it, you've either got an outdated riser card driver or your bios needs updating so it will recognize the riser card during POST. Good luck.
