Delete boot.ini from C:
This file is created by XP, and gives you the Dual-boot menu.

hello
you should only have deleted the one entry in .ini
if you deleted the whole .ini you might have to do system reinstall.
first with boot disk do fdisk /mbr and reboot.
allso from boot disk try sys c: and after it says system tranferd reboot.
there is a way to copy the ini from anther m.e machine to floppy and install it from dos
but its over my head ive read about it in here new girl or jack g or rennisaunce man might know how. might post in dos forum how to put a file in folder in windoz from dos.
ive never had to do this.so i,m not much help
