I just installed an ATI 3D Rage II+DVD on my Windows ME system and I did all the DOS drivers and all. So I plugged the monitor into the graphics card and booted. it told me to go into the background settings tab and activate it. So I shut down, pluged it back into the normal monitor plug and went to the settings box. I activated it. Now I have dual monitors! AGH! I have one physical monitor. But in the settings thing it has two monitors sitting next to each other.
How do I make the graphics card one my one and only default screen?!?!?! After I get this working I can play MoH:AA! Yea! Can someone please help me? Thx!

I believe I have a similar problem with my Geforce 2. It supports "TwinView" on my single graphics card and when I have to reinstall my video drivers in Windows 98, it always installs it with TwinView enabled by default.

I'm still not quite understanding the problem... but I will give it a shot.

Try this...

Right click on the desktop.
Choose properties.
Go to the settings tab.
Click on the Advanced button.

Take a look around here for a setting for dual monitors. My tab is called TwinView and all I have to do is put a dot in "Standard Twinview disabled".

TwinView does not come with the ATI cards... only with NVidia based cards... so it will not be called TwinView, but you should see something similar.

If not, when you installed the driver and software for your card, did it install any sort of configuration software? Can you go to start>>programs and find ATI in the list. If yes, what are your options there?
