Comment:
I did dual booting with Window ME and 2000, A menu shows up giving me the option to select an operating system, but I would like to set windows ME to automatically start when the computer boots up, instead of selecting the operating system. I would really appreciate your help.

When you're in 2000, right click My Computer, select Properties, select Advanced, select Startup And Recovery. That's where you can select which operating system starts. If you set the default one as 'Windows' instead of 'Windows 2000' and set the time to display at about 5 seconds, that will still give you enough time to switch to booting 2000 when you want to.

I have a similar problem. I have a failed XP installation on my ME computer. Each time I boot I have to select the 'Previous Operating System' (ME). How do I clean this out so my computer simply boots up into Windows ME and I no longer get this dual booting prompt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
