You can not dual boot W98 and ME as they both run the same operating systems ie 9x. ME is just an upgrade for 98.

Dude,
You can easily dual boot 98 and ME. But why use partition magic? Just fdisk your machine after it verifies drive integrity thye first time choose no to use maximum availible disk space and punch in 50% that'll split the drive then create the other half as an extended dos partition--Install 98 onto 1 and ME onto the other. When you boot it will give a choice of which operating system to use

Im not sure about this one, dont think there is much point to it since the two OS's are very similar. 98SE being the best for backwards compatibility and ME being the most current. I dont own any DOS games or old software so i use ME.
From what ive read you can not dual boot 98 and ME on a single drive using fdisk, something about them both needing to be installed on the primary partition. I think it can be done with partition magic. I know for sure it can be done because i read a post in the linux forum months ago where some guy explained how he got 10 operating systems installed on 4 hardrives. I just dont know much about partition magic.
Shotguns instructions work well if your dual booting windows 98 and windows 2000 or windows me and windows 2000 but ive never tried it with 98 and ME.

Yes you can, but I think you need a partition manager.
