Question thats bothering me... if I have 98SE and 2000 dualbooted already, and I want to upgrade SE to ME, does anyone know how to fix the boot sector so that the system will dual boot again?? As far as I know I will have to rebuild 2000 after upgrading SE, and I have no wish to do that ;)

I dont think there is anyway of stopping the ME install from re-writing the boot sector and obliterating any dual boot capabilities.

Can anyone tell me otherwise??

Please e-mail a response to me if you can..

Many thanx

install me then use bootpart.exe (put on a bootdisk) off the 2000 cd to fix the boot sector if you need to

you could just install me over win 98, boot off the win 2000 cd and choose repair installation, this will fix the boot sector too
