I have a dual boot system consisting of WinMe and 2000 on different partitions. I have installed office 2000 on each system. Is there any way I can have Outlook 2000 configured to have my email and settings shared between both systems? Thanks in advance
Paul

As far as I know, just set all the settings the same (account details, folders, personal folders etc) in both instances. You can run Outlook 2000 to run on 2 separate machines accessing the same email servers so why not 2 virtual machines? In fact, on 2 machines there is a challenge synchronising Personal folders, you should be able to get both instances looking at the same one!
You didn't say if you are connected to a MS Exhange (i.e. corporate) server, if so there will be one major issue, i believe, with your outlook.ost file. This can be fixed tho. Basically, you cannot copy the .ost file from one system to another, it must be generated from scratch or a date/time stamp becomes corrupted. I doubt, therefore, that you can use the same file, keep different versions in local areas.
FYI, a (working but dubious) tip I got from a colleaugue: Starting from clean, Install Office 2000 in, say, Me, configure it etc. then delete the directory containing the program files! (Leaving the settings files untouched in other places). Go to Win2k, install Office 2000 there, forcing installation into the same directory you used in Me. Voila! You have saved having duplicate application files installed, each version will have its own settings saved locally, but use common binaries. Downside, uninstallation becomes impossible in one of the OSs. No warranty implied in this offer, I played around on clean machines, data well backed up!
