Yep! Another CMDNINST error! After ME has started and the logon screen is just about to appear a message comes up saying:

"CMDNINST has caused an invalid page fault in <unknown>"

I think the problem is with my CD-ROM driver seeing as the message only started appearing after i had upgraded the driver, but it turned out to have deleted it! I can't get into windows to install the driver seeing as the message comes up and it won't let me install drivers in safe mode! What am i to do?

If you hold down control key on booting, you should get BOOTMENU and maybe you can try the step by step option.
