My drive letter for my Iomega Zip Disk was H and my drive letter for my Jump Drive (plug in USB memory 125ram flash drive) was G. I ran Norton Disk Doctor and it mention something about a drive letter change and since I didnt want anyhting changing I said no. Well to make a long story short after rebooting my computer my Zip drive and Jump drive exchanged drive letters. I decided to use system restore so I uninstalled Norton Anti-Virus (not Norton System Works) and clicked on an earlier system restore date. The drive letters didnt change back to their previous assignments. I guess this is OK becasue both drives still work but I would like to know what could be the reason they switched drive letters in the first place. Oh ya my Jump Drive icon now looks like my Zip drive icon -when the drive letters got switched the icons didnt switch. How does one change icons to match what the drive lettere is for? May I have a virus or some type of hagster getting squirely in my system? I took of Norton Anti-Virus before I did my system restore and havent reinstalled it (because it is so slow and I'm trying to clear up my msconfig unecessary programs from loading up). I have the free AVG and its alot quicker than the clunking Norton AV. Thanks for any response.

hello you can manually change the dreive letters back in my computer. goto your jump drive and right click choose properties. and you should see an option to change drive letter. you,ll have to look around in there. i,ve not done it in years.cange it to a higher letter than goto zip drive do the same but than change the drive letter back to the one it had. than go back to jump drive change its letter back to the one you want.
