1. Try doing a Virus Scan
2. Scanning for Spyware using Ad Aware
3. Go to Dos with the help of a boot disk and do a Scandisk on your hard drive. Other then that, I don't know. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Amy, there are several things you can do to get your drivespace back. Right click on the Recycle-Bin and go to properties. Change the default setting of using up to 10% of your drive to 1-2% of your drive for trash! You can do the same thing for System Restore as it uses a lot of your drive by default. I think its in Control-Panel but I'm running XP right now so I cant tell you exactly where it is. Also download Delindex.bat and run it from a boot floppy at least once a week. You can find Delindex.bat by doing a google search for it. I think its up to version 5 by now and it removes a lot of trash from your drive.

Hope this helps!
