Comment:

When I for example go to yahoo to download messenger I click "get started" the file download opens and I click open. It finishes loading in about 5 seconds and then nothing. Nothing at all happens. Nothing pops up or anything. This same thing happens when I try to download other things on differnt site. I have ran a virus scan and still the same thing happens. I really need help here. Hope someone has helpful information that isnt too complicated

Have you tried saving them locally and then installing?

'PLEASE HELP' - - that never gets old (... wait - Yes it Does!)

"tried to open it and still nothing notta."

Ok - instead of bleating like a lamb, maybe you can clarify what you mean by "notta" ('nada' I suppose) - that 'nothing' at all happens when you try to run a downloaded, executable file, and this is true for different files from different download locations? You are trying to run them from Windows Explorer (not your browser)?

Are you certain you are downloading EXE files? Are you getting the entire file? You should be able to tell by comparing the size of what you've d/l'd to what's listed at the site
