Hmmm....Well, I want to download a download manager, but I don't know which one to get! All these reviews on certain programs just make me question, "Should I get it or not?" Some say, "Its the best product ever and its super fast!" Others say, "Don't.....spyware." So my question is what download manager do you have and trust to be on your system?

I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser and it comes with a download manager. Mozilla Firefox is free and it helps keep your computer clean from spyware/adware etc and prevents pop-ups.

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

the only thing I like with download managers is there ablity to resume the download at a later time or day, with my slow internet connection it does not seem to speed the download up at all. If Firefox will do so "resume after shutdown", I have not found that feature.

I use freshdownload.

Oh, I don't know - with the ones that can download in 'sections' (as the 2 mentioned do) there can be a significant improvement in the download rate. Also, if the link is weak or noisy, they'll keep trying instead of starting over - of course, only on sites that support 'resume' (most do)
