Ok, In response to advice to a previous post, I downloaded Nero 5.5 over Nero 5.0. Everything was fine until this: "an error has occurred during the copy process (file name:nero\nero\exe" "Error 32 - please reboot and retry" I did reboot and retry and the same thing happened. Any help much appreciated!! Thanks.

Hey Suzi, if I were you I would uninstall the Nero, both of them and then reinstall Nero 5.5. A fresh program is always better than an update or upgrade! Make sure after you uninstall it or them to reboot and then go back and make sure the folders are gone too. If they are not delete them manually then reboot again and install Nero 5.5. A much better program is Roxio's WinOnCd 3.8 P.E. I have that and love it!! For backups of your software that you have that is copywrited, CloneCD is the best for that!! I have then both they rock!! Thanks for the idea. I am afraid that nothing will download properly now! Also, to download Nero 5.5 free, it has to find the previous version. Where did you get CloneCd? Did you download that? What could be causing these problems with downloads, installation??? it's making me crazy. Thanks. By the way, I uninstalled Real J and P, did scan disc, and still the same problem.

The download problem may be fixed by running the "auto repair"feature of Internet Explorer(I would remove all NERO stuff first,using add/remove and manually removing any files left over after).Using add/remove programs in the control panel,highlite "IE 5.5 and tools".Then click "remove"and then check the box for "auto repair" and let it do its thing.If this dosent work try a system restore from a date before you had any trouble(turn off any antivirus first).One thing about Clonecd,dont burn disk to disk.Make a image to the harddrive first.Also when making the image it will take a LONG time and may show many errors in the image.Dont worry about it the seem to burn perfectly,even protected disks seem to be no trouble.
