Deleted something I shouldn't have and boot only goes to safe mode with default y/n answers to the questions. I'm then at the wall paper screen in safe mode with no response or it then goes to searching for new hardware and I'm deadended. Need DOS prompt to run scanreg /fix, (registry file not found, XMS cache problem) but can't get to it. Tried a new start-up disk but nothing changed. Thx
