Comment:

A Dell Optiplex GX1 (333mhz/64 RAM) I have is not running properly.
It keeps going to safe mode, with just a blank grey screen. No way to get to desktop.

Is there a way I can get a DOS prompt when it boots so I can try a system restore?

Thanx.

Use a startup diskette to reach DOS (minimal boot):
