Does ME deletes MS-DOS?

Where is my DOS??? I can't reach it!..I try to start in MS-DOS mode by holding down the F5 key while restarting but it starts in SAFE MODE.... What can I do pls help!...

To access DOS in Win ME, you need to restart the PC with a boot floppy.
Download a Win ME boot floppy from
www.bootdisk.com

There IS a Real MS-DOS Mode Patch for Windows Me to get it back like in Win9x where you can access DOS from boot (using F8 screen).

Try that. It isn't actually put out by M$ but it works and all insutructions are in the ZIP file you download.

Also, Ask yourself the question - Do you want to lose the ability to use the safe mode option when you boot up ?
Cos that's what's gonna happen if you use the patch.

I use a Windows 98 floppy to boot into dos with even though I am using Win Me as my os.
